Quantum Computing Masterclass
In order to promote and celebrate World Quantum Day, on April 14, CESGA together with IGFAE-USC organizes a Masterclass in Quantum Computing focused on raising awareness about the transformative power of quantum computing and promoting interest in this technological field. Participants have the opportunity to gain first-hand access to the world of quantum computing and use the Quantum Spain Quantum Computer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. Quantum Computing Extremadura
Quantum technologies, and specifically Quantum Computing, represent a paradigm shift that promises to provide solutions to problems that are unaffordable due to their complexity using current computing. From the COMPUTAEX Foundation, co-organizer together with the company Fujitsu of the I Conference on Quantum Computing in Extremadura, we want to spread among companies and research and development centers in the region of Extremadura the basic knowledge needed to get into this technology, as well as the possibilities and opportunities it offers, and the actions that are being carried out from different economic sectors and communities in the country. Quantum Computing is presented as a disruptive technology that will transform many scientific fields and current information and communication technologies, such as in the field of security and cryptography, artificial intelligence and simulation of complex systems applied to fields as diverse as fundamental physics, chemistry, biological systems, and in the fields of health and energy.
Quantum Computing Hands On
Aware of the transformative power of quantum computing and the emergence of new opportunities in this technological field, from Quantum Spain, and in collaboration with CESGA and IGFAE we would like to invite teachers, high school and vocational training students to take a look at this new paradigm. For this purpose we have scheduled an online event consisting of a real quantum computing practice.
Quantum Computing: what is it, what is it for, where are we?
Quantum computing is a new programming paradigm, very different from conventional programming, based on the principles of quantum mechanics. The use of the not-so-future quantum computers will greatly increase the computational capacity we have today. This is why it is arousing great interest in different scientific and industrial sectors. However, in the curricula of Spanish universities it is difficult to find training in this new way of understanding computation. That is why this course aims to establish a knowledge base on quantum computing, which will be a first step in the training of students and / or professionals who want to approach and are curious about this emerging scientific area.
Quantum Computing MasterClass
To promote and celebrate the World Quantum Day on April 14th, CESGA together with IGFAE-USC organized a joint International Quantum Computer Masterclasses outreach event focused on raising awareness of the transformative power of quantum computing and promoting opportunities in this technological field among young students.
Participants had the chance to experience firsthand the world of quantum computing and use a Quantum Computer accessed in real-time, provided by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and shared their results with other centers ( CSUC-BSC Barcelona, UV Valencia, NASERTIC Navarra, Portugal, Poland, Italy ..)
