SUMMARY:Quantum Technologies for Young Researchers (QTYR)
DESCRIPTION:QTYR24\, the Quantum Technologies for Young Researchers workshop\, is a conference designed specifically for scientists in the early stages of their careers working in various branches of Quantum Science. From July 9th to 12th\, 2024\, in Madrid\, this workshop offers a unique opportunity for postdocs\, PhD\, and Master’s students to share their research in a supportive and inclusive environment. On top of this\, the event features a series of invited talks by renowned experts in the field\, providing invaluable insights and networking opportunities. \nThe program covers a wide range of topics in Quantum Science\, from quantum computing and quantum information to quantum optics\, quantum communication and cryptography\, quantum hardware\, and quantum machine learning. It includes keynote speeches\, contributed talks\, poster presentations\, an industry focus session\, and a panel discussion on the role of companies in quantum technologies. \nQTYR24 is organized by the PhD and Young Scientists in Quantum Technologies Network (PYSQT) and falls under the umbrella of the Official Interuniversity Master’s Degree in Quantum Technologies created by CSIC and various spanish universities. \nThe workshop will be held in Madrid from 9th to 12th of July 2024 at the CSIC central campus. The venue is located at the heart of the city with very good connections to the old town and all sorts of cultural activities. \nFor more information about the workshop\, talks and other details: pysqt.organization@gmail.com

SUMMARY:TalentQ SEMINAR | Esperanza Cuenca
DESCRIPTION:Title: Programming Heterogenous Quantum-Classical Supercomputing Architectures \nAbstract: Valuable quantum computing will integrate tightly with and depend on classical high-performance computing and AI. Such a hybrid system needs a programming model that enables easy and performant co-programming across quantum and classical resources. NVIDIA CUDA-Q is an open-source platform for integrating and programming QPUs\, GPUs\, and CPUs in a single system. Additionally\, the ability of scientists\, developers\, and researchers to simulate quantum circuits on classical computers is vital for quantum computing. NVIDIA cuQuantum is an SDK for accelerating quantum circuit simulation. Built to accelerate all circuit simulation frameworks and integrated into CUDA-Q and more\, cuQuantum allows simulations of ideal or noisy qubits with scale and performance. During this talk CUDA-Q main features will be presented\, as well as some representative works. \nRegistration: https://events.teams.microsoft.com/event/06a4ff25-765f-44bd-8d68-985335a4a1fc@8f0d452c-b7a4-4964-b810-8c397374477b
